Wellness Retreat with Sylvia Brinkmeyer
This retreat is an invitation to reconnect with yourself— without pressure to perform, without rushing. The yoga practice is intentionally designed to be gentle: in the morning, we begin with mindful, flowing movements that gently awaken the body and mind. In the evening, we practice in a calm, relaxing, and restorative way—with a focus on letting go, relaxing, and recharging.
We’ll take time to explore these questions:
What is good for me? Where are my limits? What do I really need right now? What strengths do I already possess—and what aspects of myself would I like to embrace more fully?
Retreat Content:
- Gentle yoga sessions for greater clarity, strength, and inner peace
- Breathing exercises, short meditations, and inspiring reflections
- Space for reflection, silence, and mindful self-care
- Time in nature—walks, perhaps through the Balderschwang countryside
- Shared meals and conversation in an open, warm atmosphere
- A soothing break from everyday life—just for you
The retreat is open to anyone longing for a gentle, restorative break. Basic knowledge of yoga is welcome but not required. The practice is designed so that you can move at your own pace—working with whatever is present in the moment.
Our lives are becoming increasingly stressful, the demands placed on us are growing ever greater, and, unfortunately, our interpersonal contact is dwindling.
During this wellness retreat, we want to refocus on what really matters: eating and laughing together, getting out into nature (together), and practicing yoga together. The yoga practice will be designed to help us center ourselves and perhaps even refocus. In the mornings, we’ll practice with gentle dynamism without completely exhausting ourselves; in the evenings, we’ll practice much more gently, incorporating breathing exercises, short affirmations, and meditations. Wellness yoga for a wellness retreat.
The only requirement: You should have some prior experience with yoga and understand the difference between dynamic and gentle yoga practices.
Sylvia Brinkmeyer
Sylvia first encountered yoga in the mid-1990s, but didn’t establish her own regular practice until 2002, following a serious accident. Inspired by the many positive aspects of regular yoga practice, she discovered a new, more intense, and more mindful connection to her body, as well as greater mindfulness toward herself and others. As a former specialized nurse and trained yoga therapist, she also pays particular attention to proper alignment in the exercises to ensure the greatest benefit for each practitioner.
