Senior herdsman Friedl Vögel has been managing the Spicherhalde alp every summer for over 70 years, together with his wife. In recent years, however, more and more people have been coming to live on the alp. Now, three generations—a total of nine people—spend several months there each summer. And each one has their own role to play.
We’re proud to receive 10–15 wheels of this coveted, award-winning mountain cheese every year. In fact, it’s now even shipped as far as America.
