Monika & Werner Steurer
With about 120 “Schumpen” (the Allgäu term for young cows), Monika and Werner Steurer, along with their three children, spend the alpine summer on the Alpe Obere Wilhelmine, at the foot of the Siplinger.
The avalanche was what prompted the Traubels to resume their business relationship with the Steurers. Accordingly, the avalanche had not only negative but also very positive consequences.
