Our Mountain Nest in a New Setting
Upcycling is right in step with the times. After all, upcycling means one thing above all else: being seen as a contribution to the conservation of resources, nature, and the CLIMATE.
The KEY WORDS in upcycling are reduce, reuse, and recycle:
REDUCE what we buy new.
REUSE what we already have.
And RECYCLE. To give a product a new life at the end of its life cycle: Building on what already exists, it is transformed into something NEW, beautiful, and INVIGORATING.
But it’s not just ecological values that play a role in upcycling— ARTISTIC aspects do as well. After all, new, ONE-OF-A-KIND pieces are created from existing materials.
Our MOUNTAIN NEST has undergone the upcycling process: 46 ROOMS have been completely renovated.
New DESIGN OBJECTS were created from valuable reclaimed materials. And through minimalism and clean lines, an even greater sense of PEACE and relaxation has been created.
Upcycling preserves our history, but casts it into new FORMS to serve once again as a solid FOUNDATION for the years to come.

Nestled in the heart of the Allgäu high valley lies the HUBERTUS Mountain Refugio Allgäu, a mountain and wellness hotel. It features 66 unique rooms and suites with views of the Allgäu Mountains. Each is individually furnished with a personal touch. Our “Unikat” rooms are particularly special—there are only a few of them in our hotel. We have specific rooms in the hotel for guests with allergies, as well as for vacations with your four-legged friend. These are indicated in the detailed description of each room. For an active vacation, each room is equipped with a yoga mat, a hiking backpack for both long and short hikes, and an umbrella. For cold days, cozy fur blankets and a hot water bottle are available. We’ve also provided some reading material—you’ll find a small selection in your hotel room.
