The fragrant finishing touch in the HUBERTUS Gin Tonic is a piece of wood. More specifically, a small piece of Swiss stone pine shavings, which—combined with zesty lemon—makes the drink the perfect companion for balmy summer evenings. Or, as Marcel Maczkowski, the assistant restaurant manager at HUBERTUS, would say: fresh, wild, and alpine.
Just like HUBERTUS itself.
And so it was clear to Marcel Maczkowski and hotel manager Yannick Stecker that the hotel’s own gin wouldn’t just be any old thing poured into a bottle.
Crafted with the finest artistry using the infused gin process and limited to 120 bottles per batch, HUBERTUS gin contains only the highest-quality ingredients: The main ingredients—juniper, Swiss stone pine, and spruce needles—are joined by bergamot, mandarin, mace, tonka bean, and vanilla. The result is a truly unique and special flavor.
The spirit is distilled and bottled in Mosbach, Germany. The label was also designed specifically for the hotel.
Mixed with tonic water, the aforementioned Swiss stone pine shavings, raspberries, or lemon—depending on your taste—and ice cubes, HUBERTUS Gin delivers a truly COOLCATION in the glass.
TIP from Marcel Maczkowski: “It’s best to give it a quick stir and let it sit for a moment so that the aromas of Swiss stone pine and botanicals can fully unfold.”

INGREDIENTS:
4 cl HUBERTUS Gin
200 ml Limestone Tonic Water Organic
1 small piece of Swiss stone pine
A few fresh raspberries or a slice of organic lemon (to taste)
Ice cubes
PREPARATION:
Fill a long drink or tumbler glass with large ice cubes.
Pour the HUBERTUS Gin over the ice.
Gently top off with chilled Limestone Tonic Water Organic.
For that special flavor: add a pine cone to the glass—it gives the drink an alpine, resinous note.
Garnish with fresh raspberries or a slice of lemon, depending on your preference—for fruity depth or citrusy freshness.
