In Asian and Eastern European languages, the word "chai" or "tschai" refers to tea or a specific way of preparing tea.

Chai is a spiced tea made with milk, coconut milk, almond milk, or cream, and specific spices to aid in detoxification.

What are the benefits of always serving chutney with my meals? What should a beginner know about making proper chutney? What ingredients are best for making chutney?

A chutney is a spicy, sometimes sweet-and-sour, and occasionally hot and tangy sauce from Indian cuisine. Its consistency ranges from liquid to creamy to paste-like. There are also variations that include pieces of fruit or vegetables. Gabriel knows a lot more about chutneys and will be making a chutney with and for you tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. Let yourself be surprised by the many possibilities of this little “dash on the edge of the plate,” which nevertheless plays a major role in the dish you’re eating it with.

Gabriel will help you blend some very special spices and herbs—tailored just for you—to create the perfect companion for these times. You can take your blend with you anywhere, anytime, and use it as often as you need.

At every party, the kitchen has always been the place where all the action happens. The hottest stories and the best atmosphere—it’s always in the kitchen.
So that’s exactly what we’re doing. And we’re inviting everyone to come join us in the kitchen to watch our chefs at work while enjoying cool music and exciting lighting effects. Plus, there will be special activities like wine tastings. And, of course, plenty of fun.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Before that, the first aperitif will be served in the lobby.

We offer the multi-award-winning mountain cheese and the Bachensteiner, a red-rind cheese from Sibratsgfäll, as well as the delicious alpine butter from the breakfast buffet, homemade liver sausage, and the best pork crackling lard, along with pestos and chutneys from the “Sell Gmachts” workshop, HUBERTUS bread from our in-house and farm baker Albinger; from our own Alpine pigs: Bindele (Gselchts) and air-dried ham, Kaminwurzen, fine brandies from Gierer, and our excellent house wine.

Try some samples, fill your shopping basket. We’ll pack it up and set it aside for you, charge it to your room, and when you check out, you can simply take it with you . You’ll have our delicacies and a snack to take home—or a gift for those back home.
