“Leabig” is an Allgäu dialect word meaning “lively.” And so it represents us—and our lives. Through the HUBERTUS story, we’d like to introduce you to OUR HOLISTIC APPROACH and offer insights into a life that is deeply rooted—in the mountains, in the region, and in our tradition—in harmony with nature. And in tune with the rhythm of the seasons.

The POWER of nature is an important part of our HolisticLife concept. It provides space to regain lost energy, draw new strength, and fill any sense of emptiness.
And it inspires us anew every day to live life to the fullest.

TREE OF LIFE
In many cultures, the tree has been chosen as a symbol of life. It is the origin of all things. Every form of life stems from it; its seeds contain all the information. Among the Germanic and Celtic tribes, the World Tree was revered in the form of a yew tree.
Not far from HUBERTUS stands Germany’s oldest tree. The “Old Yew.” Estimated to be 2,000 years old. It is a female double yew growing in the calcareous Nagelfluh soil of the Tertiary period. Yews grow extremely slowly, which gives them a very long lifespan. And they possess a unique ability to regenerate. They can sprout new shoots from beneath the bark at any time. Or their branches may grow toward the ground and take root there. In this way, a single tree can transform into a circle or a grove. Consequently, the yew has become a symbol of self-renewal and rebirth.

IN THE CYCLE OF LIFE.
THE ANNUAL CYCLE
The cycles of the sun and moon. The cycles of the forces of nature. The cycles of body and mind are woven into the ANNUAL CYCLE. Everything lives, grows, and changes. According to the cosmic laws of this rhythm.
The annual cycle is a mythical journey of development, a circle of life encompassing all its important stages and existential themes. Ascent and descent, receiving and giving, winning and losing, living and dying. The sun’s path and the resulting seasons are a reflection of our personal existence, with all its opportunities, challenges, and necessities.
Through the alternation of light and darkness, we gain all the experiences needed to reach our goal. For in nature, the goal is growth—the unfolding of everything that lies dormant as a seed within every single being. And that is what life means.
