With a total of 80 kilometres of cross-country ski slopes, the Balderschwang Valley can provide fantastic adventures in the snowy mountainscape. During y our winter holiday in the Hotel Hubertus you can enjoy the slopes, which are freshly prepared everyday and directly at the hotel. So both styles (skating and classic) are catered for with excellent conditions. Cross-country skiing in the Allgäu is literally limitless: one of the many slopes takes you into the Austrian Hittisau region.
Cross-country skiing The individual sections of the frontier slopes offer different levels of difficulty. Depending on what you prefer, you can shorten or vary your cross-country skiing tour at many places. This allows variation and for necessary challenges. All route descriptions are sign posted and are well visible on the many information boards on the slopes.
If you cannot bring your own cross-country ski equipment with you on your winter holidays in the Allgäu you can hire them from one of the sports shops in Balderschwang or even buy them. On request the Hotel Hubertus offers intensive training for cross-country. You can learn the necessary basic technique as part of a group or improve your skills. Just ask the hotel team.
